#8 Thunder Bay Titz (0-1)

  • Move: None
  • Current W/L Streak: L1
  • Week 1 MVP: Brady Singer (30)
  • Week 1 LVP: Luis Severino (-9)

In a shortened week of Opening Day Baseball, the Thunder Bay Titz started out slower than they had hoped to start of the 2024 Season. The lowest scoring team of Week 1, Thunder Bay was only able to put up 203 Points in the 6 Days of Baseball. A strong pickup in Brady Singer led the way with 30 Points, followed by the young stars of Baltimore in Grayson Rodriguez & Gunnar Henderson. A Luis Severino start that led to -9 points in his first Mets appearance could have saved the team from a loss, but that’s the risk of spot starts in fantasy baseball. Thunder Bay may be the youngest team, but stars like Spencer Strider & Luis Robert could take this team into a playoff spot if they play their cards right. The Titz will have to make it past Hennyville in Week 2, in a matchup of the Highest versus Lowest teams of Week 1.

#7 Bryce Krispy Treats (0-1)

  • Move: None
  • Current W/L Streak: L1
  • Week 1 MVP: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (49)
  • Week 1 LVP: Kenta Maeda (-11)

The Bryce Krispy Treats would of have beat 5 of the 7 other teams in Week 1, but they drew an unlucky card against Better Call Paul in an opening week loss. GM Ryan’s pickup of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. right before the season started worked out perfectly, as he had 3 HRs in his first series with the Diamondbacks. Bobby Miller, a strong candidate for BKT’s best pitcher this year, shoved in his first game, striking out 11 in his 31-point performance. This team arguably has one of the best hitting lineups in the whole league, the concern & why they are ranked 7th is still the lack of pitching depth. Kenta Maeda, Yusei Kukuchi & Tanner Bibee all had rough starts to the season combining for -16 points. If BKT can add some pitching stars throughout the season, there a dark horse candidate to go on an explosive run. The team faces Palm Beach in Week 2, as underdogs in a 38.5-point spread.

#6 Metro Brozak (0-1)

  • Move: ⬇️1
  • Current W/L Streak: L1
  • Week 1 MVP: Juan Soto (34)
  • Week 1 LVP: Bailey Ober (-29)

Metro Brozak didn’t have a bad Week 1 but faced the top scoring team in Hennyville to start the season off 0-1. If anyone benefited from the Opening Korea series, it was Metro Brozak, as they had Joe Musgrove, Yu Darvish, & Tyler Glasnow get early pitching starts, along with hitters of Manny Machado & TeOscar Hernandez. However, the pitching was the set back this week, as Bailey Ober, Joe Musgrove & Josiah Gray letting up a combined 24 runs & -49 points total. This team is loaded with Heavy Hitters, as a playoff team from last year, Metro Brozak could easily start adding some wins in the next few weeks. The team takes on Cole-Blooded in Week 2, a team they would of beat in Week 1.

#5 Palm Beach Diamond Ducks (1-0)

  • Move: ⬆️1
  • Current W/L Streak: W1
  • Week 1 MVP: Ozzie Albies (23)
  • Week 1 LVP: Brent Rooker (-3)

The Diamond Ducks was one of the 3 Teams that walked away from Opening Week 1-0, as the relocated city of Palm Beach can celebrate their first win. The team moves up 1 spot from the preseason rankings, as they stand 3rd in the standings. Despite the 1-0 start, the team is lower for a couple reasons. Palm Beach would have lost to every other team aside from their Week 1 opponent in Thunder Bay, as the 209 points from the team was the second lowest score amongst the league. In addition, Palm Beach was the only team to not have a 25+ scorer in Week 1, as Ozzie Albies led the way with 23 Points. The Diamond Ducks has an opportunity to start the season out 2-0, as they are favorited by 38 Points in Week 2 against the 0-1 Byrce Krispy Treats.

#4 Nip City Night Owls (0-0-1)

  • Move: ⬇️3
  • Current W/L Streak: T1
  • Week 1 MVP: George Kirby (29)
  • Week 1 LVP: Aaron Nola (-18)

The defending champion Nip City Night Owls started off the season in a battle with former #1 seed Cole-Blooded, ending in a rare scenario of a tie. The 215-point tie of each team was low in points, as 4 other teams scored higher in Week 1. The Night Owls pitching was very hit or miss in Week 1, as George Kirby, Tarik Skubal & Frankie Montas all had great opening starts, while on the other hand pitchers Aaron Nola, Max Fried & AJ Puk cost the team its win by combining for a -41 performance in a every point matter type of game. The #1 ranked team by the league falls down to 4th in the rankings, as they have a chance to move back up with a win over Better Call Paul in Week 2.

#3 Cole-Blooded (0-0-1)

  • Move: ⬇️1
  • Current W/L Streak: T1
  • Week 1 MVP: Freddy Peralta (26)
  • Week 1 LVP: Zach Eflin (-6)

A tie was not how Cole-Blooded thought their Opening Week would go, as the battle of the #1 & #2 ranked teams ended in a 215-215 draw. GM Chris’s waiver pickups lead this team to a comeback, as Garrett Whitlocks 22 Point Easter Sunday performance put the team tied going into the final game. The matchup came down to Nolan Arenado vs Shohei Ohtani, but neither hitter was able to give their team the edge with a clutch performance. Freddy Peralta & Marcus Stroman each had 20+ point starts for the team as well, with OF Steven Kwan leading the team with his bat in Week 1. Cole-Blooded has the opportunity to get his name added to the win column in Week 2, as they face 0-1 Metro Brozak in what should be a high scoring fight.

#2 Better Call Paul (1-0)

  • Move: ⬆️2
  • Current W/L Streak: W1
  • Week 1 MVP: Mookie Betts (53)
  • Week 1 LVP: Tommy Henry (-8)

Better Call Paul couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off the 2024 season, as the team starts off 1-0 in an 86-point victory over Bryce Krispy Treats. Mookie Betts was by the far the best player during Week 1, as his 53 points & 4 HRs were miles ahead of anyone else. The team had 5 Starting Pitchers get 15+ points, including Merrill Kelly having 27 points with his 8 Strikeouts. Better Call Paul’s 341 points was second in the league, and enough to move them up 2 spots in the rankings. Better Call Paul has a chance to assert themselves the top team, as they face the Night Owls in what’s expected to be the closest game. of Week 2.

#1 Hennyville Hashbrowns (1-0)

  • Move: ⬆️2
  • Current W/L Streak: W1
  • Week 1 MVP: Corbin Burnes (30)
  • Week 1 LVP: Jack Suwinski (0)

Hennyville’s dominant performance in Week 1 lands themselves in the #1 spot of 2024 Power Rankings. A 378 Point game was the highest in the league, as Hennyville would have defeated any team they faced. Starting Pitchers Corbin Burnes & Shane Bieber led the way with 59 Combined points for the team. Jake Cronenworth, the new starting 2B after Matt McLain’s injury, had the most points of the hitters with 28, as he was one of many who benefited from the Korea series. Hennyville moves up 2 spots from the initial rankings, as they look to keep it up in a 1 vs 8 battle against Thunder Bay.
