TRADE DEADLINE SPECIAL!!!

Trade Deadline is AUGUST 5TH!!!!

At this Moment in Time, 5 Teams are currently close in the Playoff Hunt, while 3 Look to be far away from making it (Anything Can Still Happen). Lets take a look into some players that COULD be on the move.

POTENTIAL SELLERS:

  • Metro Brozak & Byrce Krispy Treats:
    • Both Teams are 4-9 and technically still in Playoff Contention, but if these teams continue to Lose expect some key players to be moved
  • Palm Beach Diamond Ducks:
    • HIGHLY Expected to be Sellers, the team is favorited to have the #1 Pick, and could use this deadline to build in a direction for 2025

POTENTIAL BUYERS:

  • Thunder Bay Titz:
    • This team is in PERFECT Position to be Buyers at the Deadline. The #1 Seed is loaded with Young Future Stars & could use them to add Win Now Players to boost their chances of winning. This team SHOULD be Buyers
  • Better Call Paul:
    • This team has been a Waiver Wire Machine all year, but could be beneficial to add some rentals to win now. Injury has been killer, and some IL Members could be on the moved to lift some weight off the teams filled IL.
  • Hennyville:
    • The Favorited team to win it all in 2024, now at 8-5 has put themselves in a great position to make the playoffs. A very trade heavy organization, expect Hennyville to be one of the most active teams.
  • Nip City:
    • Another trade heavy Organization, Nip City is at 8-5 but one of the Lower Scoring Teams. Could add some depth to boost Scoring, especially after two losses to Hennyville (Head to Head is HUGE)
  • Cole-Blooded:
    • On the Border of the Playoffs at the Moment, the 7-6 team is pretty deep on their roster, but could add to bolster their chances of making the Playoffs in back-to-back seasons

FYI: These are ALL HYPOTHETICALS MOVES

Superstars on the Move?

3B Jose Ramirez- Palm Beach

The Biggest Name potentially on the move (Although Unlikely), Ramirez is 2nd Most Points in the league in Points while currently hitting .280 with 21 Home Runs. If Palm Beach wants to get the biggest haul of Prospects & Draft Picks, this would be the guy to move

SP Tanner Houck- Bryce Krispy Treats

Acquired this year in the Francisco Lindor deal, Tanner Houck has been ELITE in 2024. It’s unlikely that Houck keeps it up next season, so BKT could sell the Cy Young candidate for a haul to a contenting team to get value for next season

SP Tyler Glasnow- Metro Brozak

Very Unlikely to be dealt, but of Metro Brozaks starting pitchers, Glasnow would accompany the biggest haul for the team. Glasnow has been a strikeout machine, and currently 2nd in Points

2B Ozzie Albies- Palm Beach

27-Years Old, Albies would entitled a good haul in order to be dealt, as he could easily be the 2B for the long run for any team to acquire him. Palm Beach is very unlikely to move him but if they team does go all in, expect multiple teams to be interested.

SP Luis Castillo- Metro Brozak

After a shaky start, Luis Castillo has settled in for Seattle, as the SP now has a 3.79 ERA & exactly 100 Strikeouts on the year. Acquired for basically free in the Alek Manoah trade, Metro Brozak could play with house money in a deal that sends away Castillo.

1B Pete Alonso- Bryce Krispy Treats

On the potential move from the Mets as well, Pete Alonso could be moved from BKT to a 1B needy team. Only hitting .240, the 1B still has 16 HRs & 217 Points.

SP Framber Valdez- Palm Beach

Currently with a 3.68 ERA, Valdez has been a little up & down in the 2024 season, but still has a high price due to what we know he can do. The #1 in Houston, Palm Beach could get some value while he can for the SP.

One Year Rentals/Older Win Now Players?

SP Sonny Gray- Metro Brozak

The 34-Year Old Pitcher is the perfect example of a deadline acquisition. He has low upside for the future years, but he has an OUTSTANDING 9-4 Record & a 2.81 ERA this season that could be huge for a playoff team. His 17 PPG is a huge attribute to help contenting teams

1B/DH Ryan Mountcastle- Bryce Krispy Treats

A surprising Breakout Candidate this year for the Orioles, the 1B has been hitting .280 this year, and could provide some depth for any team that needs a boost at hitting

OF Tyler O’Neill- Palm Beach

After an insane start to the 2024 season, O’Neill has cool off a little bit now hitting .262, but could provide OF Depth for any team interested

SP Mitch Keller- Metro Brozak

28 Year Old Starting Pitcher, Mitch Keller at that middle age could easily be dealt or kept at the deadline. Currently, at 3.20 ERA, the Pirates have a kept a very good Rotation in 2024, and expect Keller to keep it up going forward.

DH Marcell Ozuna- Metro Brozak

Ozuna has been playing out of his mind. He’s been the best player on the Braves, and that says a lot with how talented they are. Ozuna is another perfect example of a Trade Deadline sell, as he is 33 Years Old, while hitting an unreal .314 with 21 Home Runs. A perfect Utility Spot if he is available in this market

SP Brayan Bello- Palm Beach

Bello has been SUPER Underwhelming in 2024, posting a pretty bad 5.55 ERA so far. Competing teams could take a chance on Bello picking it up soon for a lower price than at the begging of the season.

OF TeOscar Hernandez- Metro Brozak

The OF is 31 Years Old and on his way to being a All Star in the MLB this season, not a better time to get value then right now.

SP Tyler Anderson- Bryce Krispy Treats

On the move in real life, the SP Can provide some short-term value for any team in on the pitching market.

2B Nico Hoerner- Palm Beach

VERY High chance this 2B gets moved, as Palm Beach has already made it public that his available. Expect Nico to be in a new Jersey before the deadline.

OF George Springer- Metro Brozak

Springer has been very underwhelming in 2024, so a team could take the chance on his upside by buying the OF for Low

#8 Palm Beach Diamond Ducks (2-9-2)

  • Current W/L Streak: T1
  • Leading Batter: Jose Ramirez (353)
  • Leading Pitcher: Hunter Greene (185)

Palm Beach’s year isn’t over yet, but with the path the team is currently on, it’s likely to end up with the #1 Pick in 2025. Roki Sasaki could almost put on a Diamond Duck uniform by now, as the projected #1 pick could have his home decided earlier than we thought. It’s just been an off year for palm beach, as most games haven’t gone their way. The pitching department has struggled, as it’s leading pitcher Hunter Green only has 185 Points, as Palm Beach is the only team in the league without a Pitcher over 200 Points. GM Pat might call it wraps already, focus on the deadline & draft, and look to compete in 2025.

#7 Metro Brozak (4-9)

  • Current W/L Streak: L2
  • Leading Batter: Juan Soto (323)
  • Leading Pitcher: Tyler Glasnow (288)

Metro Brozak has been a interesting team in 2024. The roster on paper is not bad, but there’s been minimal effort in making this team better. The team only has 5 adds this year, and the teams only move is moving Evan Phillips who has a 1.59 ERA so far. Juan Soto has been dominant so far, leading with 323 points, while Tyler Glasnow has been the same for the pitchers. The team in 4-9, and is not out yet, but the wheel has to start turning to make a run.

#6 Bryce Krispy Treats (4-9)

  • Current W/L Streak: W1
  • Leading Batter: Bryce Harper (278)
  • Leading Pitcher: Tanner Houck (271)

In the same spot as Metro Brozak, the Bryce Krispy Teams are 4-9 after some close disappointing losses in 2024. It’s a hard task to make the playoffs now, so the team might focus on the trade deadline and adding pieces to help them in 2025. Injuries has not helped this team, as stars like Kodai Senga, Mike Trout, & Trea Turner make up the list of stars on the IL for most the season. A fun fact as well, BKT is BY FAR the leader in Points Allowed, as they have over 1000 more gave up then #1 seed Thunder Bay. The team inspired name Bryce Harper has been the leader amongst First Basemen. In addition, Tanner Houck, who the team acquired in the Francisco Lindor trade (STEAL), has been a Cy Young Candidate & a potential trade candidate in this league. It’ll be interesting to see how Bryce Krispy competes in these upcoming weeks.

#5 Nip City Night Owls (8-5)

  • Current W/L Streak: L1
  • Leading Batter: Shohei Ohtani (346)
  • Leading Pitcher: Tarik Skubal (278)

Nip City has put themselves in the position to be a playoff team, but it’s not certain as the 5-team playoff race heats up. Currently at 8-5, the team holds the 4th spot in the playoffs & would face Thunder Bay if the season ended today. Ohtani has done exactly what everyone thought he would do, while SP Tarik Skubal has been a breakout & Cy Young Candidate. Nip City is going to have fight off Hennyville & Cole Blooded to stay alive in the playoff race, & might be active at the deadline to do so.

#4 Cole-Blooded (7-6)

  • Current W/L Streak: L1
  • Leading Batter: Aaron Judge (377)
  • Leading Pitcher: Seth Lugo (279)

Not many times is the Highest Scoring Team in the league not in the playoffs, but Cole-Blooded is currently in this scenario. Currently at 4960 total points, Cole-Blooded leads Thunder Bay by 177 Points, despite Thunder Bay currently at the #1 Seed. Aaron Judge would currently be the MVP of the DBA, having a league leading 377 Points after an unreal turn around to his season. On the other hand, I’m sure Cole-Blooded didn’t think Seth Lugo would be their leading pitcher, but with 279 points Lugo has been leading the way all year. Cole-Blooded could easily make the playoffs despite only being 1 Game back, as the anticipated return of Gerrit Cole this week is a huge add at this time.

#3 Hennyville Hashbrowns (8-5)

  • Current W/L Streak: W3
  • Leading Batter: Bobby Witt Jr (296)
  • Leading Pitcher: Corbin Burnes (255)

The favorite going into 2024 to win the DBA Championship, have put themselves in a good position following a win over Nip City in Week 13. Currently at 8-5, the team is surprisingly 6th in Points scored & 4th in Points Allowed. Bobby Witt Jr is exactly what Hennyville traded for back at start of the league, leading the teams’ hitters in points & 2nd amongst the Shortstops. Acquired at the trade deadline last season, SP Corbin Burnes has been great, leading the team with 255 Points. The Hashbrowns big games for the team are upcoming against Cole-Blooded & Thunder Bay, as they have to play both teams twice before the season ends and are currently 1-3 against those teams. If Hennyville wants to lock their playoff spot, the team needs to perform in those games.

#2 Better Call Paul (8-4-1)

  • Current W/L Streak: T1
  • Leading Batter: Mookie Betts (260)
  • Leading Pitcher: Ranger Suarez (299)

It’s been a crazy 24 Hours for Better Call Paul, as an upsetting loss to Palm Beach, the team in last place, has now changed to a Tie for the team following Stat Corrections. The team now places at 8-4-1 and takes a half game lead for 2nd place over Hennyville & Nip City. Like mentioned for the Byrce Kripsy Treats, injuries have really affected Better Call Pauls record. The team has 12 PLAYERS ON THE IL, a league record by far, including players such as Mookie Betts, JT Realmuto & last season’s MVP Ronald Acuna Jr who is now out for the year. Losing Acuna is a major hit for Better Call Paul, who calls up OF Ceddane Rafaela to attempt to replace him. Mookie Betts was the leading hitter before his injury, and his absence is another major hit to BCP. On the bright side, the team has CY Young favorite & #1 Pitcher in points Ranger Suarez who has been unstoppable all year. The team is 1 game back from Thunder Bay and plays them this week to determine who is the #1 seed.

#1 Thunder Bay Titz (9-3-1)

  • Current W/L Streak: W2
  • Leading Batter: Gunnar Henderson (327)
  • Leading Pitcher: Joe Ryan (212)

In just a Years span, Thunder Bay has turned around a 2nd to last place team to a 1st Place team in 2024. It’s been unreal what Thunder Bay has accomplished in 2024, as the young core from last year has took over for the team. Gunnar Henderson has been the best SS so far in 2024, having 327 Points on the year. #1 Pick Paul Skenes has been everything and more for Thunder Bay, as he might even be the #1 Dynasty Pitcher already & will certainly be the face of the franchise for Thunder Bay for many years. In addition, players such as Alec Bohm, William Contreras, Joe Ryan, & Reynaldo Lopez have all really stepped up for the #1 Seed this year. Royce Lewis has been Elite in a very short span, and if he can stay healthy is a major factor for Thunder Bay. This week’s matchup is HUGE versus Better Call Paul, as the winner would be the #1 Seed. With a win, Thunder Bay would take a 2-game lead for the top seed.
